DeepFeet 1 Basics

A three day course from 9 AM - 6 PM daily. Therapists will learn 1 footed posterior and anterior strokes. Each therapist taking the class must feel comfortable standing on a massage table. Weight of the student is not as important as grace and flexibility while performing DeepFeet Bar Therapy. You will receive 25 credit hours, which you can apply to your NCBTMB certification, AMTA or ABMP renewal

Benefits to Ashiatsu for the Client:

• Therapist can apply more pressure with less discomfort than giving a massage with sharp elbows or thumbs

• broad smooth pressure allows for faster release of tissue and there is typically less inflammation and soreness post massage compared to neuromuscular work.

• many of the movements can help to elongate the spine, relieving muscular discomfort and opening up the space in the intervertebral foreman

• Increases blood/lymph circulation quickly, detoxifying the body at a much faster rate

• Clients receive more massage benefits in a shorter amount of time, and they maintain benefits for longer

Benefits of Ashiatsu for the therapist:

• Gravity enables the pressure to be 3x more than traditional hand massage

•Gravity also allows for less work on therapist with quicker muscular release

• Performing Ashi will take stress off the lower lumbar spine from bending over the table.

•decrease pain and tension in the hands, wrists, shoulders and neck

•unique specialty enriching your practice to work “smarter not harder” reducing therapist burn out.

Kaity Hollman // LMT, Associate Instructor

After completing the “Master Program” through DeepFeet I knew my next and final step was to teach. My whole world revolves around what I can share with my feet so it felt true for me to facilitate it for others. Ashiatsu has been a game changer, and it has saved my career. It has healed my relationship with touch and it is so fun to practice!
